4 squares unsweetened chocolate -- (1-oz squares)

1/2 cup butter

2 cups packed brown sugar

4 eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour

1 cup miniature marshmallows

1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks

1/2 cup pecan halves -- broken into pieces

Preheat the oven to 375F. Grease a 13" x 9" baking pan.

Place the chocolate and butter in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes, or until the butter is melted.

Remove from microwave oven and stir constantly to fully melt the chocolate. Stir in the brown sugar until well-blended.

Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition, until well-blended.

Stir in the vanilla extract and flour. Stir in half of the marshmallows, half of the chocolate chunks, and half of the pecans.

Spread into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining marshmallows, chocolate chunks, and pecans over the brownies. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a rack.
