1 (14.5 OZ.) CAN DICED TOMATOES, PLAIN OR WITH GARLIC AND ONION

1 (6 OZ.) CAN TOMATO PASTE OR 1 (14.5 OZ.) CAN TOMATO SAUCE

1 (14.5 OZ.) CAN CHICKEN BROTH OR 2 CUPS HOMEMADE

1 C. PEARL BARLEY

4 C. WATER

2 TSP. CUMIN

1 T. + 1 1/2 TSP. CHILI POWDER

1 (15.25 OZ.) CAN BLACK BEANS--DRAINED

1 (15.25 OZ. ) CAN CORN--DRAINED

1/2 TSP. SALT

3 C. COOKED CHICKEN, CUT INTO BITE SIZED PIECES

1 JALAPENO, DICED, OPTIONAL

PUT ALL INGREDIENTS IN THE CROCKPOT, AND STIR TO COMBINE. HEAT ON HIGH FOR 30 MINUTES AND TURN TO LOW. COOK FOR 8--9 HOURS. IT GETS THICK AS IT COOKS.
