16 ounce dry split peas
1 pound cooked lean ham, chopped
10 C water
1 tsp minced garlic
10 medium baby carrots
Empty the bag of peas into slow cooker & add one package of diced ham (I rinse mine), cut up some carrots if you want. I do about ten baby, add onion, add a little minced garlic and 8-10 cups water. Depending on how thick you want it the "first time", left overs will thicken a lot. Cook over night it will be ready for lunch. Or put in the morning, ready for suppertime.
