This is from the recipe card at Royal Fork & makes ONE GALLON of soup. Linda ran it through Recipe Builder & for HALF of this recipe came up with 22 Points so the whole recipe should be about 44 Points. See her notes below.
1 Tbs Baking Soda
1 quart Hot Water
1/3 C Tomato Paste
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 1/2 C Non Dairy Creamer
1/3 tsp Celery Salt
1 #10 Can tomatoes, Diced (6 1/2-7 pounds)
In a double boiler, add tomatoes, tomato paste, and baking soda and heat to 140 degrees. Let the baking soda neutralize the acid in the tomatoes (approx. 20-30 minutes). In a separate container, mix non dairy creamer with hot water. Add creamer mixture to the tomato mixture. Finally add black pepper and celery salt. Makes one gallon of soup.
This is as the recipe card from Royal Fork reads. I tried to cut it in half. #10 can is about 6 1/2 to 7 lbs. Let me know what you all come up with. When I cut it in half I figured 22 pts for the whole batch
