|CUTTING CORNERS? Last week I walked outside a lot when the weather was FINALLY cooperating and I had an epiphany. Every time I got close to the end of a sidewalk I felt the urge to cut across the street instead of finishing up to the end of that sidewalk. The pull to cut across was SO STRONG that I had to literally focus my mind to make myself go all the way without cutting corners. I relate this to our weight loss journey. It is SO EASY to cut corners whenever we want but if we take the extra couple steps (time, effort, patience) and make up our minds to be DILIGENT - we realize that going all the way is SO worth it. We don't really NEED to cut corners because we're not in a hurry - we are just trying to improve our health, habits & fitness - so next time you feel the urge to CUT CORNERS, remember to STAY THE COURSE. Cutting corners isn't something we NEED to do - we have the skills & just need to build them into habits. TRAIN YOUR BRAIN...DISCIPLINE YOUR MIND & BODY - YOU CAN DO IT!!|
